FREE INSULATION
Do your electric heaters burn through cash, and yet you don’t feel warm? Or you have central heating, but your home still isn’t cosy when it’s cold outside?
If you and your family would love to feel warmer without paying through the nose for your heating, consider applying for one of our solid wall insulation grants.
The grants mean that if you’re on benefits or getting tax credits or universal credit, you may be able to have solid internal wall insulation fitted completely free of charge.
If you know you have solid walls, then you probably also know that cavity wall insulation is not an option. But what you can do is fit internal wall insulation.
Internal wall insulation goes on the inside of your walls. It’s attached to the inside of your external walls, so you usually only need to fit it to one wall in each room, or two walls for a corner room.
According to the Energy Saving Trust – an independent industry body – adding solid wall insulation can help reduce the amount you spend on heating your home.
This is because more of the heat stays trapped inside, so your heating system doesn’t have to work as hard to keep you warm.
